On My Radar: Shades of South Africa

I’ve started filming and shooting a series of photographs/videos called “Shades of South Africa”. The title is purposefully ambiguous. The idea behind this concept is to showcase the diversity of people in South Africa in terms of race, culture, style and background, this will be an ongoing series but for now, here are the first two. I was generously sent two sets of Ray Ban Wayfarer Sunglasses by Smart Buy Sunglasses and that’s what sparked this idea. I worked with Stacey Van Der Walt of the Mulatto Grey blog (see it here: Mulatto Grey) who filmed and photographed me and I did the same of her. I oversaw the generally direction and shot selection and I have to say I’m happy with the way it turned out. I will be looking to travel through South Africa, hopefully get a chance to filmed all corners of South Africa and its people. In the meantime, take a look at the videos and photographs right here.

  1. We at 2nd Take really love this concept and think that it’s great that you started this project. It gives people a great oppertunity to show them what fashion is about.
