I recently entered a photography competition that had a simple and straightforward brief: “Play outside of the ordinary”. I decided to go outside my comfort zone as it were and instead of shooting strictly fashion, I hung out with a talented BMX’er by the name of Dean Anthony Young. He’s not sponsored and his day job is a far cry from what he does here. For me that’s playing outside the ordinary.  I also got an opportunity to gain an insight into the BMX culture. I hope you enjoy these as much as I enjoying taking them… Oh and I didn’t make the cut for the competition, but you win some, you lose some right?
