  1. Every now and then, someone comes up with something truly special. Special in the sense that it seems that everything up to that point had been leading up to create something unique. When you watch that video, linger on those photos and feel his story, you realise that Dave was meant for this. It feels like every pair has not only the story of the boards used to make it, but the guy that made them. It’s like when you come back from overseas and everyone is asking you where you got that bag or where you picked up that super cool hat and you tell them how you were wandering around Portobello Market and there was an amazing vintage stall or you found yourself in the cobbled back streets of Paris and came across this amazing independent design store or….it’s like those things but even better. Its from SA, its genuinely fresh, it has story, it has passion. So if I win, when my friends ask me about my super cool shades, I will tell them the story of how the glasses were made, about the guy that made them and the process he goes through every time and I will tell them about how I won them right here with this slightly rambling, overlong paragraph…

  2. Have liked itswhatiminto facebook page, following u n twitter as well and retweeted the competition link. Twittername: online61524 Would make my day to win this much loved and amazing giveaway

  3. love these…awesome to see wood being used so beautifully and old skateboards! Genius! I just put old decks on the wall, clearly not creative enough!
Great job though, thoroughly enjoyed watching the video on how these are made, every pair is a unique journey. Tres Bon!

  4. I saw this video and these glasses are amazing!!!! More so, this post is what led me to find this blog and I can’t stop reading……….representing from Los Angeles CA.

I’m a lady skateboarder (perusing the streets and dreaming of riding a pool..) and I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to rock these while I skate because the story behind them is so kickass. I am literally obsessed with the cateye pair <3

  5. Being a fellow product designer, I can relate to the craft that goes into making each one of these. I am a collector of skate art, and know a good piece of art/workmanship when I see one.
Would love to have a pair of these to relate to my passion whenever I am wearing them

  6. It is my hope that everyone who sees these glasses recognize just how awesome they are. There are no glasses out there that match the same creativity, style and hand made craftsmanship that goes into each and every pair.

  7. tweeted (@kirst85), shared, followed, liked! I should win because my last pair of sunnies came free from a magazine 2years ago. It’s time for a serious upgrade!

  8. These are the radest things i have ever seen for the face. A genius concept, and so exclusive. The whole process is just so solid and real. Your cool DDD.

  9. Super Sick shades DDD! Commented on this post a million times and it hasn’t worked yet! Tweeted this link on twitter since you haven’t added your own twitter handle just #Sk8shades @kelzjep liked and shared it on fb! Such a cool idea. Love the lifestyle why not wear it right?? Haha xxx

  10. I’d love to have the unseen memories from the untold stories of these skateboards. those skateboards who might have travelling miles. Those who were under the feet of skateboarder, earned the respect and became the ready symbol of beauty for our faces. from feet to face. what a travel.
